Unconditional Self Acceptance

Unconditional self acceptance is about accepting yourself just as you are, right where you are, exactly how you are.

Without feeling like there is something wrong with you.

Without feeling uncomfortable when you look in the mirror, or hear your voice as a recording, or becoming aware of something you said, or did or whatever, and then giving yourself a hard time.

Without feeling the need to judge, justify, defend, criticise or blame.

Acceptance is about accepting things as they are, not wishing that they were different, but simply learning to appreciate what is.

Acceptance is the space from which we can learn to think, feel and act differently about ourselves and towards ourselves - when we can accept ourselves, unconditionally, right now in this moment - then we can learn to be and do and experience ourselves more kindly, more compassionately, more lovingly in all the future moments.
